My (Bronx) Life as a List
Linda Rosenkrantz’s creativity in crafting her 1999 memoir of her Bronx childhood as a list inspired us to create our own unconventional review of her work: a series of infographics exploring her book, her Jewish identity, and her Bronx identity (the two overlap, of course, and still do for the thousands of Jews who call the Bronx home, even as the neighborhoods Rosenkrantz explores in her memoir count few Jewish residents today). Dive into these infographics, created by Kristina Boyer, and get to know the vibrant Jewish West Bronx of the mid-twentieth century. Then pick up a copy of Rosenkrantz’s memoir at your favorite bookstore. –The Editors
